"Until we have the ability to remove certain individuals from our Federal offices, we will be faced with frightening attacks on our country's economic, security, and value systems. The series of legislation that is being imposed on the American people is not only unconstitutional, but a sure sign of where we are heading and at a frightening speed. We have the elections this year to look forward to by removing unethical and out of touch [politicians], but we still have another 3 years to struggle with the ideology of this president.
Too many Americans are being torn back and forth in the idea of having only a two party ticket system. For the most part, I blame this for what is happening today.
Until we mandate the ballots to be open for all who wish to stand up and make a real change, we will continue to see the rise and fall of irresponsible actions on both of the two party tickets.
I have supported the tea party position since the beginning, however I am seeing a movement within our own efforts with the GOP stepping up and using our ground of true reformation of government by giving the people only two options: Moderate Democrats or Rhinos.
Both parties have malfunctions that have over time created the chaos that we are seeing at this point in history. We need to stand ground and bring the tea parties back to the original stand points and that is to remove any and all elected officials who have at any point in their office voted 'Yea' to the horrific bills that have been recently signed into law.
I, as a registered Republican, am very disgusted with all who are in office at this time and will do everything in my power to ensure that ALL citizens of this nation can and will be heard.
Also, as a registered Republican, I am proud to say that as of this November, I will no longer vote straight ticket or for the party, but for whom I believe will speak for the people and truly holds a passion for America's traditional values and those ideas that were originally set forth by the great men who created this nation for ALL who seek true freedoms from all governmental tyranny and Roman Empire like legislation.
My friends, we need to understand our ability to make our own choices. Therefore, we need to correlate our own ideology with the person who best suits it. I guarantee 100%, that if you take the time to do this, the majority of us will find that we are a conservative nation by majority who prevail in "In God We Trust". We will realize that our [Founding Fathers] gave us guidelines to protect us from what is taking place and we will then recognize that both parties at this time are using our weaknesses to play a campaign out between the [lesser of two evils].
In short, do not be afraid to vote correctly this upcoming November. Do not let the echoes of "You need to pick a party." persuade your wants and our needs as a nation. If we stand strong and together, I believe that We The People will be heard as we were in 1776.

"You'll Split The Vote"
"If you vote for a third party, you'll split the vote!" How many times have you heard this line or maybe even said it yourself? Who's to say which of the two parties are the "only" ones needed to represent us and on what authority? This is one of the problems we face in America today. Both Democrats and Republicans agree that we need the two-party system. Neither one wants to lose their power and control. The system is set up to favor candidates in either party. This angers many Americans because now they are forced to vote for the lesser of two evils.
The Tea Party movement proves that people are sick and tired of government. This movement isn't just about all of the progressive Democrats and their quest to destroy the Constitution. It is also anger towards the Republicans who claim to be conservatives, but their voting recording shows otherwise. However, I'm hearing and seeing more and more Republicans taking over these Tea Party groups to push their agenda. I've seen Tea Party groups fold because Republicans tried to take them over and people in the group said, "No way!" This has to end!
I've personally seen an Independent attacked relentlessly by Republican operatives. This individual is more conservative than any of the Republicans running for this particular race. He has chosen not to run as a Republican because of the mess the party is in at this time. Furthermore, if elected, he doesn't want to fall lock-step in with the party for fear of suffering recourse if he doesn't go along with their agenda even though he disagrees with it. I've been told by many of them that if he's as conservative as he says he is, then he needs to run as a Republican and he'll win the nomination. Here in lies the problem: The GOP is a train wreck all the way from Michael Steele down to your local city offices. Unanimously folks have told me the GOP needs to be fixed and I agree with them. They say the only way to do this is to vote for good conservative Republicans. What I want to know is who are they? John McCain? Lindsey Graham? Scott Brown? Olympia Snowe? Are these the conservatives we're talking about?
We need to start looking to vote in the most conservative candidate that's on the ticket. Whether they are Democrat, Republican or Independent, it doesn't matter. The biggest problem I have with people are the ones who will throw aside their principles and values and compromise their integrity to stay loyal to a particular party. Logic and common sense will tell you that if you know in heart and your mind that an Independent is the right one for the job but you vote for the Republican, you my friend are the one splitting the vote. For if everyone would vote their conscience instead of compromising their integrity, the right person will get elected every time.
Because I've asked you on what authority that we need the two-party system, I'm going to give you on what authority we do not need a party system. It comes from a pretty significant man in our past. As a matter of fact, he was one of our Founders. He happened to be the first President of the United States of America, George Washington. Below is his words, not mine, warning us about the party system in his Farewell Address in 1796. Funny how he had this vision to see what our country would become if we didn't heed his warning.
"I have already intimated to you the danger of parties in the State, with particular reference to the founding of them on geographical discriminations. Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party generally.
The spirit, unfortunately, is inseparable from our nature, having it's root in the strongest passions of the human mind. It exists under different shapes in all governments, more or less stifled, controlled, or repressed; but, in those of the popular form, it is seen in it's greatest rankness, and is truly their worst enemy.
The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns the disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.
Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it. It serves always to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.
There is an opinion that parties in free countries are useful checks upon the administration of the government and serve to keep alive the spirit of liberty. This within certain limits is probably true; and in governments of a monarchical cast, patriotism may look with indulgence, if not with favor, upon the spirit of party. But in those of the popular character, in governments purely elective, it is a spirit not to be encouraged. From their natural tendency, it is certain there will always be enough of that spirit for every salutary purpose. And there being constant danger of excess, the effort ought to be by force of public opinion, to mitigate and assuage it. A fire not to be quenched, it demands a uniform vigilance to prevent it's bursting into a flame, lest, instead of warming it should consume.
It is important, likewise, that the habits of thinking in a free country should inspire caution in those entrusted with it's administration, to confine themselves within their respective constitutional spheres, avoiding in the exercise of the powers of one department to encroach upon another. The spirit of encroachment tends to consolidate the powers of all the departments in one, and thus to create, whatever the form of government, a real despotism. A just estimate of that love of power, and proneness to abuse it, which predominates in the human heart, is sufficient to satisfy us of the truth of this position. The necessity of reciprocal checks in the exercise of political power, by dividing and distributing it into different depositaries, and constituting each the guardian of the public weal against invasions by the others, has been evinced by experiments ancient and modern; some of them in our country and under our own eyes. To preserve them must be as necessary as to institute them. If, in any particular wrong, let it be corrected by an amendment in the way which the Constitution designates. But let there be no change by usurpation; for though this, in one instance, may be the instrument of good, it is the customary weapon by which free governments are destroyed. The precedent must always greatly overbalance in permanent evil any partial or transient benefit, which the use can at any time yield."
George Washington was a brilliant man. He foresaw how a party system would destroy this country. Looks like he was right. Those who vote for someone only because they have an (R) or a (D) behind a candidate's name will be guilty of compromising their priciples, values and integrity and contribute to the continual downfall of our great Republic. Don't compromise your integrity. Vote your conscience and your values no matter what letter the person has behind their name. Even if it's no letter at all. If you do that, you cannot be held responsible for splitting the vote.

Failure Of The Two-Party System
Have the Democrats or Republicans you've voted for in the past lived up to what they said they would do? Your answers will vary from partially to rarely to never, but ultimately your answer is probably no.
One of the problems we are facing is the two party system. Two of the many problems with the two party system are: Number one, they have a party to answer to. For the most part, they pretty much have to stay lock-step with their party's ideology or suffer recourse. Number two, they have special interest groups to answer to who have played a big role financially in helping to get them elected. They expect a return on their "investment". Even if it's at the expense of the citizens or even if it's not in the best interest of the state or it's people.
But what if there was someone who had no party affiliation or special interest group backing them and only had to answer to the people they represent? Would you vote for someone like that? Would you say, "Well, I like so and so and I would vote for him/her, but I feel I would be wasting my vote giving the person I don't want in office a better chance of winning."
This is something both Democrats and Republicans agree upon. They want us to believe it has to be one or the other. They have us so trained to think that if you don't vote for party, it will take away votes from them enabling the opposition a better opportunity to win.
Let me ask you, where has this way of thinking gotten us? Twelve trillion dollars in debt, more entitlement programs, redistribution of wealth, less security on our borders, laws that are unconstitutional, bailouts, a housing crisis just to name a few. We cannot sustain this way of thinking and voting if we want America to continue to be the greatest country on earth.
It is imperative that we change our way of thinking. The two party system has failed us. It's time we started looking at those without party affiliation and start voting our conscience. If everbody would stop their old way of thinking and start voting their conscience, real change can begin and we can bring America back to what our Founding Fathers created this country to be like.

Cap & Trade Part II
First, let me apologize for how long this has taken to post Part II. I've had some personal issue to manage and I also wanted to make sure I researched this thoroughly to bring you the facts.
The economic impact of this bill will be catastrophic. It is just another form of government taking over control of another sector of industry here in America. In an interview with the San Fransisco Chronicle, B. Hussein Obama said himself that, "The problem is not technical and the problem is not mastery of the legislative intricacies of Washington. The problem is, can you get the American people to say, “This is really important,” and force their representatives to do the right thing? That requires mobilizing a citizenry. That requires them understanding what is at stake. And climate change is a great example." He goes on to say, " When I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it — whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers." This is a direct hit on the wage earner. Especially on the middle class who are already struggling to make ends meet in this Obama economy. But it hits wage earners on two fronts. Not only with the increased rates in electricity, but those who live off of the government dole and have their utility bills paid by tax payers. Barbara Boxer (D-California) said there will be no new taxes. But how is this true? Rates will increase, therefore taxes will have to increase in order to pay for those living off of the dole. How else do they intend to pay for it? But that is just the tip of the iceberg.
When electricity rates have "skyrocketed", it's going to increase the cost of doing business. In order for companies to survive, they have to pass that cost along to consumers. The cost to ship goods from factories throughout the country will be astronomical. Pump prices they say will go over $5.00 per gallon. I think that's a very conservative estimate. Just last summer, pump prices were over $4.00 per gallon without this marxist bill in place. Look for $7-$8.00 per gallon if it does pass. Of course, this is just my opinion, but look at the facts. If we do see $7.00 per gallon fuel prices, it will cost some people living in rural America more to work than if they just sat at home and did nothing because of the commute they must take to their jobs.
In May of 2009, CRA International, an economics, finance, and business consulting firm, working with businesses, law firms, accounting firms, and governments, prepared a report on the impact of the Cap & Trade Bill for the National Black Chamber of Commerce. According to the report, the most important conclusion is that, contrary to some claims that have been made recently, policies such as ACESA (American Clean Energy and Security Act) will have a cost. Therefore the judgment about what action to take cannot be made simply on the grounds that a cap-and-trade program will create additional jobs and stimulate economic growth – it will not – but on whether the benefits are worth the cost. And it needs to be recognized that the benefits of any action by the United States alone are limited because of the relatively small share that the United States will contribute to global emissions over the next century. This analysis reveals that businesses and consumers would face higher energy and transportation costs under ACESA, which would lead to increased costs of other goods and services throughout the economy.
Also in the report is the transfer of wealth to other nations. According to the report, ACESA contains provisions that will transfer wealth from the U.S. to other nations. These include allocations of allowances to overseas entities for international adaptation and purchases of offsets from foreign projects. It is estimated that these provisions of ACESA would result in a transfer of U.S wealth to other countries varying from $40 billion to $60 billion per year in the years 2012 through 2030. Some possible circumstances can cause these amounts to be even larger.
All in all, the economic impact of this bill will increase energy costs, it will be the single highest tax increase in American history and will result in the loss of millions of jobs. All of this for more control over business and our personal lives over the myth of global warming.

Cap & Trade Part I
On June 26, 2009, the House of Representatives passed the Waxman/Markey Bill (better known as Cap & Trade) by a vote of 219-212. There were 8 so called conservatives who voted for this bill. Those 8 were Mary Bono Mack (CA), Mike Castle (DE), Mark Kirk (IL), Leonard Lance (NJ), Frank LoBiondo (NJ), Chris Smith (NJ), John McHugh (NY) and Dave Reichert (WA). These 8 need to be contacted by their constituents and told they will be voted out of their jobs in 2010. We have come to a point in time that is crucial to our country. We can no longer allow these fools to be seated and have the authority to pass laws that are unconstitutional. This doesn't apply to just these eight Republicans. This applies to all elected officials. It's time to take our country back!
In the 1970's it was known as global cooling. That didn't work. From the mid 1980's through the early 2000's it was known as global warming. Since that has not been scientifically proven, it's now called climate change. Liberals will stop at nothing and are very patient in trying to gain as much power as possible to obtain as much control as possible over our personal lives. They have an elitist attitude and I truly believe that they believe they have to save us from ourselves because we are incapable of making the right decisions in our lives. This is nothing other than tyranny! The latest movement from these statists is called Cap & Trade. Cap & Trade is a limit or cap on the amount of a pollutant that can be emitted. Companies are issued permits which regulates the amount of pollutants they are permitted to emit. When a company reaches their limit however, they may buy credits from other companies who have not used their credits. This is known as trade. In a perfect world, this sounds like a great idea. However, there is more to it than what meets the eye.
First of all, without the entire world following suit in emissions reduction, this will never work. Places like China and Russia who do not follow any kind of emissions reductions will still be emitting pollutants into the air. CO2 (carbon dioxide) acts globally. It's impact on the environment is similar wherever in the globe it is released. The originator of the emissions does not really matter from an environmental standpoint. Of course, the environmental impact would be more severe in those locations, however the pollutants will and do travel the globe. For example, when smoking was allowed on airplanes, the smoke didn't just stop once it reached the non smoking section of the plane. It continued to travel throughout the plane. The further away from the "smoking section" it traveled, the less impact it had. But it still affected everyone. That being said, I don't believe there is a major crisis with large scale environmental damage at this time. It is a tactic employed by the left to scare people into thinking that if they, meaning the statists in office, don't do something about this, we are all going to perish. Again, an elitist attitude. I do think we can do things to improve on our foreign dependence on energy. We can be more energy independent if we started tapping our own resources instead of buying them from countries who hate us and some who sponsor terrorism. We need to pursue nuclear energy, do more offshore drilling, tap into the reserve in ANWR (Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge), drill for more natural gas, etc. Windmills are an alternative, but the cost associated with them, not to mention the enormous amount of land that would be required to place them is not as cost effective. By doing this, the cost of energy will decrease dramatically and will create jobs not only in those specific industries, but throughout the United States in all areas.
Part II will be about the economic impact of Cap & Trade.

Welcome To My Blog
Welcome to my blog Patriotic Conservatism. This is a first for me. I'm doing this because I can no longer be silent and this is the only way I can get my voice out there for many to hear. In this blog, I will be posting facts about the issues that concern the welfare of all Americans. I will be adding my opinions on the issues as well. I welcome any responses to my posts whether for or against what I have to say. I look forward to this blog becoming bigger than I could ever imagine. All I ask of anyone who reads my words is please pass this blog along for others to read. If my words can help open the eyes of just one more person to the atrocities our elected officials are committing, it will have been worth it. Thank you and enjoy.
Tyranny! When a situation or person controls how you are able to live, in an unfair way. Or in the case of America, people. Those people are Barack Hussein Obama and the elected officials of the Senate and the House of Representatives. Most of them are Democrats with extremely leftist views. Some are Republicans who are not true conservatives. They have an agenda to control every aspect of our lives. They do this by enacting laws that chip away at the core of our freedoms the Founding Fathers laid out for us in the amendments to our Constitution and our inalienable God given rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Where is the life when government keeps those who live off of the tax payer's dollars on government assistance? Where is the liberty in taxing us to death? Where is the pursuit of happiness when government is forcing us to abide by laws that are unconstitutional and possibly treasonist?
Our government has grown to astronomical proportions. There is an office for everything imaginable. This is directly against what our Founding Fathers had envisioned. Both Democrats and Republicans are guilty of this. The larger the government grows, the more control they have over our lives and what we can and cannot do. As George Washington said in his farewell address, "All obstructions to the execution of the Laws, all combinations and associations, under whatever plausible character, with the real design to direct, control, counteract, or awe the regular deliberation and action of the constituted authorities, are destructive of this fundamental principle, and of fatal tendency. They serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation, the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the ill-concerted and incongruous projects of faction, rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common counsels, and modified by mutual interests. However combinations or associations of the above description may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people, and to usurp for themselves the reins of government; destroying afterwards the very engines, which have lifted them to unjust dominion."
I will end my first blog with this: Freedom-the condition or right of being able or allowed to do, say, think, etc., a right to act in the way you think you should. We as Americans have freedom. However, slowly but surely it is being taken away from us little by little by the actions of people who have statist and marxist agendas. It's time to take our country back. We The People are the only ones who can do this by wisely choosing who we elect to office. We do make a difference. So, my question to you is, 'Do you feel like your freedom is being comprimised?' If the answer is 'Yes', then educate yourself on the issues, contact your elected officials and tell them what you think and by all means vote for those who have our country's best issues in mind.
